Circle offers a few ways to customize how members get introduced to your community. These are personal touches where you can add your brand voice, and inspire them to get engaged!

Navigate to Community Settings → Onboarding to begin customizing your messages.

✅ Step 1: Customize the invitation email
The following tokens can be pasted anywhere within your email to auto-fill information from your community. See a sample email screenshot below:
  • {invited_by_name}: The name of the admin sending the invitation
  • {invited_by_email}: The email of the admin sending the invitation
  • https://invitation_url: Use this as the hyperlink for your invitation

Customize invitation for emails that don't already have a Circle account: Circle will let you customize your invitation messaging for a member who has never signed up for a Circle community.

Customize invitation for emails that already have a Circle account: A member may use an email that is already registered with another Circle community. This tailored message can let them know that signing up isn't required, as they already have an account.

✅ Step 2: Customize onboarding messages
Show an onboarding popup after account sign up: Once they create their account, you can enable a custom pop-up message. This is a great area to extend a thank you and encourage them to look around!

Send an onboarding email after account sign up: You can also send a follow-up onboarding email after they create their account, letting them know what to expect from your community.

The following tokens can be pasted anywhere within the onboarding email to auto-fill information from your community.

{first_name}: The first name of the member you are inviting
{community_name}: The name of your community as chosen under the "Manage" tab

🏁Your onboarding flow is now customized!
